What’s the Pool Atmosphere in Bangkok Like

Mihnea: Let’s step just a bit down the ladder and go to more friendly pool games. So what’s happening at Hustlers and in Bangkok in general, what’s the pool atmosphere in Bangkok?

Stuart: Actually, Bangkok has got a thriving pool community. There are so many players here and so many enthusiastic players. There are some more enthusiastic than others and some prefer to just play for fun. It’s got that diversity where we have four pool halls all in probably a square kilometre. We have all the pool halls full here and so it’s a really good atmosphere.

Mihnea: Is it very international or mostly Thai or mostly foreigners? What’s the split?

Stuart: I would say that we’ve got lots of nationalities here. Every nationality you can think of comes to Hustlers especially. I think our customer base is probably 50% Thai and 50% foreigner.

Mihnea: That’s amazing having in mind that the pool hall is targeted at both tourist and locals.

Stuart: We’re in a prime spot here in Bangkok just right down the road, 50 meters from Asok BTS station. So we’re on prime location downtown Bangkok.
